AYC Spotlight: Three Unique & Exciting Yachts Join the Fleet

Boaters love to dream about what makes cruising the Pacific Northwest so special – the Fourth of July at Roche Harbor, spy-hopping orcas or Princess Louisa Inlet. Similar to the singularity of these highlights, AYC now offers guests an opportunity to charter three of the most unique yachts in the Northwest: a 42' Africat, a 57' Symbol and a 51.5 Beneteau.

Boaters looking for a one-of-a-kind experience are encouraged to book their reservations as soon as possible because these coastal-capable cruisers promise to be very popular. Each vessel can comfortably accommodate at least three couples or families groups with attractive staterooms and accompanying heads. All three yachts also feature large living spaces, generous storage, complete galleys and every other conceivable amenity.

Whether your tribe is looking for a week playing in the San Juans, a fortnight gunkholing in the Gulf Islands or three months exploring Southeastern Alaska, these vessels can make the journey as elegant and exciting as the discovery. Available in the Pacific Northwest only at AYC, we turn the spotlight on our newest and brightest charter fleet additions.
42' Africat New Adventure (PowerCat)

Brand new to the power fleet, the Africat is big, brawny and stable. According to AYC's Mike Lovell, the New Adventure offers as much space as a 50-foot monohull, while providing all the benefits of a catamaran. This spacious cat features three staterooms paired with three heads. Equipped with three sets of controls, the 42-footer also features a roomy flybridge, a huge cockpit for watertoys and a broad bow for sunbathing. Coupled with cavernous storage, the vessel's 22-foot beam promises a comfortable, stable platform in any kind of weather.
57' Symbol Ocean Spirit

One of the largest yachts in the fleet, this traditionally designed, coastal cruiser invites adventure. The sister ship to a 57' Symbol that recently cruised to Alaska during a 10-week, AYC charter, Ocean Spirit guarantees extended cruise comfort with its versatile, three stateroom layout with two heads. "One of the nicest aspects of this big Symbol is that it features wide walk-arounds," reports Mike. "As a result, it is especially safe and easy for couples or families to manage this yacht."
51.5 Moorings Beneteau Blew By U

According to the AYC staff, Blew By U is the fastest sailboat in the fleet. It also has a colorful ocean voyage under its waterline. After the 51.5 Beneteau was purchased from The Moorings in South Africa, three Brits sailed it on a 90-day trip from France to Florida, through the Panama Canal and up to Anacortes, where it served a proud stint in the AYC sail fleet. Returning after several years with new ownership, this fast, four-stateroom, four-head dreamboat comes equipped with a bow thruster for enhanced maneuverability.
