"Guaranteed Best" Charter Deals - Book By December 31

Take advantage of AYC's Early Bird Discounts until the end of December for the best charter deals AYC will offer for the 2010 season - guaranteed!*

For another fortnight, most of the fleet and many prime dates are available at 2009 rates. Those who choose this route can earn up to 15 percent off the yacht rate (5% discount if you are a member of AYC's Loyalty Club, or book a multi-week charter or are part of a flotilla - these discounts may not exceed 10 %). Earn an extra 5% Early Bird Discount by paying the charter balance in full by December 31, 2009. Many boaters are using the savings to upgrade, charter longer or even pay for trip protection insurance.

David and Debra Allen of Columbia, South Carolina, jumped on the flotilla and Early Bird Discount when they recently booked the Africat 42, "New Adventure" for the September USPS flotilla cruise. "Not only is the 10 percent discount a significant savings, enough to pay for our fuel," says David Allen, a business attorney and 50 T Master. "We committed to the trip because chartering in the Northwest is on our bucket list. Why wait?"

*AYC guarantees to honor a lower rate on the yacht you have chartered should it be part of 2010 special. The guarantee only applies to charters who have taken advantage of the Early Bird Discount paying in full by 12/31/09.
Santa Baby, Hurry Down the Chimney with Charter Bucks

Forget the tie, cordless drill or Cuisinart. Give your favorite boater "Charter Bucks" that can be applied to an AYC charter vacation. When you purchase Charter Bucks, you show your loved one that you truly care. It also initiates the fun process of selecting the perfect yacht and charter dates - at his or her leisure!

Another great idea is to surprise your boater with a gift certificate to participate in one of AYC's Sailing and Yachting School Programs. As always AYC offers a full range of ASA instructors and courses, including ASA 101, 103, & 104 as well as a combined, comprehensive, four-day program. Power boaters will appreciate a gift certificate for a Yachting School Twin and Single engine, Power Boat and Advanced Instruction or the Skipper and Mate course.

Adventure to the Incomparable Broughtons and Blackfish Archipelago

Now is the time to book that long awaited adventure... if you desire to take a trip to Desolation Sound or imagine even, the Broughtons or further, you know to really do it leisurely, you will need a two week or longer cruise. It's time to book that cruise now to get the best fleet selection along with an extended cruise discount.

As the authors of the "Waggoner Cruising Guide" suggest, "The Broughtons are a destination. Don't hurry, enjoy."

What an understatement! Located on British Columbia's mainland side of Queen Charlotte Strait north of Johnstone Strait, the Broughtons are a conglomerate of dozens of inlets, bays and sounds that adjoin the equally less-traveled Blackfish Archipelago. There are so many passages and narrow channels connecting to Knight and Kingcome Inlets, for example, that it is hard to pick a course. Happily, this huge cruising ground offers plenty of welcoming marinas as well as innumerable protected, private coves and harbors for anchoring. Wild and dramatic, the Broughton's fjords are rimmed by sharp, 6,000-foot peaks that rise straight up from the shore like snow-capped sentinels.
